Dear Oasis Family;
I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas season enjoying and sharing the blessings of Jesus Christ. I have loved walking together on Sunday mornings through the exciting book of Ephesians. It is amazing to see how God leads us through His Word every week and I look forward to continuing our study into next year.
Remember, we will have the Oasis Christmas party this Saturday December 21st at 6:00 PM at Oasis. Bring a snack or finger food and a white elephant gift for swapping. We will have fun games and a good time together as always. We will pray for all of you who will be traveling to see family over the next few weeks and we will miss you. Also, we look forward to our Christmas Eve service at 5:30 PM. We will sing Christmas songs, celebrate the Lord Jesus birth and share together in communion.
From our Bible study survey, the number one pick was “Making sure of the Truth” a 15-week study of the books; Philemon, Colossians, 2 Peter, Jude, and 1-3 John. This will be a challenging and great study and I hope all of you will want to be a part of one of the small groups. This time we will have small groups available for Men, Women, Coed Adults, Young Adults, Youth 6th – 12th grades, and children. If you would like to work with the children on one or more Wednesday nights please let Lisa know and she will share with you how you can be a part of teaching and having fun with the kids. The books will be $15.00 a person for youth to adults and contain 150 pages of study notes and questions. We will have a sign- up sheet for book orders beginning this Wednesday night. The new Bible study will begin on Wednesday January 8th at 6:30 PM. Everyone is always encouraged to bring snacks to share during the fellowship time.
We will also begin a church family Bible reading plan through the Bible App on January 1st. This year we will read the Bible in Chronological order. To join, go to our website and follow the instructions. This is a fun and encouraging way to read God’s Word with friends and share with one another what you are learning.
Our focus is to share the gospel and teach the Word of God. We want to do that in everything we do at Oasis and tell everyone of the redemption, restoration and refreshment that is in Jesus Christ the Ultimate Oasis. Be sure and pray for and invite others to join us for all of these ministries and events. God has blessed and done so much at and through Oasis this last year and I am so excited about 2020!
